German Embassy
Finish Prime Grade Panelled Oak
Location London
Belgrave Square is one of the grandest and largest 19th century squares in London’s Belgravia and is home to the German Embassy, the diplomatic mission of Germany.
The floor timber is a prime grade panelled Oak floor. Dyfed Richards sanded it progressively from a 60-grit up to a 120-grit finish. It was then filled at the 100-grit stage before it had its final sand at 120-grit using a 4 headed sander. This gave it a perfectly smooth finish. The floor was finished with two coats of Osmo Satin.
